Man of Merit

13 Jan

One of the post scrips that I did not address was that during the war of 1812 a young officer by the name of Larama or Laramy came to Shelburne to see where his father died during the battle of Shelburne. I looked everywhere to verify this but could not find anyone by that name. I was never able to find the full roster of the invaders from Point au Fer. Sir Guy Carlton makes reference to a man of merit in his report to Lord North but does not name him.
