Hello, I have established this site to bring you the excitement I have about history and how it interfaces with ancestors.
My name is Michael J. Haugh. I am a retired physician who specialized in neurology. I spent 2 years in the navy as a neurologist during the Viet Nam war. After my retirement, I became active as an intermittent government employee in a Disaster Medical Assistance Team or DMAT which responded to disasters. My first disaster was Katrina.
I have always had a deep love for history, and about 30 years ago became interested in genealogy. When these two interests combine you find that your ancestors have been involved in all of the important historical event in the world.
