When I first started this blog, I was able to connect it to facebook but recently it stopped connecting. I have tried to restart the connection, so now we will see how it works.
I have recently connected with some distant cousins from Saint Louis. Their branch of the Powell family flows through Willis J. Powell Jr. who became a Saint Louis business man. It is interesting that during the Civil War, he had to sign an allegiance pledge to the Union. I suspect that his older brother Charles A. Powell fought as a Confederate irregular in Missouri, but I can not find the proof.
