This little book follows the Peirson family, (yes that is the way they always spelled it,) from the time they moved to Shelburne Vermont, through the Revolutionary war. One of the few battles in Vermont during the Revolutionary war occurred at the block-house on their farm. For the first time, I have identified the troops that came down from Canada on the ice of Lake Champlain. They came down from a small outpost called Point au Fer.
