Joshua Woodward and Samuel Daniels had just stopped in for the night. In one account they stopped in to buy wheat. In another they were just staying the night, but in one account they were militia who had stopped in to help defend the Peirson block house.
what ever account you read, they were all in the Peirson block house the morning of the attack. Lieutenant Barnabas Barnum, Joshua Woodward and Samuel Daniels lost their lives in the early part of the battle.
